BORACAY DE CAVITE

Summer is the best enjoying time. To start this season try to visit the Katungkulan Beach Resort in Ternate Cavite. Most people call it "Boracay de Cavite". Aside from being compared to Boracay, what makes me more curious, is the fact that it is located at the Marine Base Camp. And yes, this resort is managed and protected by the Philippine Marine Corps, which makes it kinda different from the other beach resorts that we've been.

Living in the Southern part of Cavite is like getting used to some famous Swimming pool with running water resorts, like in Kawit, Indang, Alfonso etc., and for the nearest beach resort to plan summer outing it is in Batangas, towns like Calatagan, Nasugbu, Calaca, Agoncillio, Taal, Lian and Lemery. Then finally a new beach resort venue to spend summer vacation, which is located at Ternate Cavite, the Katungkulan Beach Resort.

This is a 2-3 hours drive from Manila. You can take the Coastal Road then Cavitex ( Cavite Express). There's a checkpoint at the main gate of the Marine Base Ternate which is also the gateway to the white beach resort.

You don't need connections inside the camp, because it open to the public or civilians. We just need to pay for the entrance fees.
Please see the table below the rates they offer ( as of March 2016 ):

This is a warning sign you might see on your way to the Marine Base. There's a high probability that you'll see monkeys along the way because it is a mountain with a very nature or jungle ambiance. At the checkpoint, they will also advise you not to throw non-biodegradable things like plastics or bottles. We need to dispose our trash properly, it's a big help for the environment and a good way  to start self-discipline.

Here's a photo of some cottages you would like to avail.

Pitching tent is allowed here, but doing bonfire is not. One more good thing is there's no corkage fee for food and drinks so feel free to bring your "baons". And pets are also allowed inside. I'll also suggest that it's better to go here if its not summer or peak season.

My photo meters away from the water, if you'll notice there's lot of tent at the background because it's peak season.

For some side trips you might like to pass at the Kaybiang Tunnel.

We definitely enjoy our stay in Boracay de Cavite. It is a nice venue for family outing, reunions, team bulding or on the spot getaway with your friends. In my opinion, this is one of the best beach resorts in Cavite.
